The OVTA in partnership with the National Park Service and North Carolina based Foothills Conservency has created this blog site to serve as an interactive forum for the public to stay up to date on the project and get your questions answered.
Please check the home page for information on the next public meeting to be held on July 17th in Marion, NC.
Special thanks to Andrew Kota with Foothills Conservency, Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail Superintendent Paul Carson, the National Park Service American Battlefield Protection Program, and lead Archeologist/Investigator Ken Robinson.
And a special thanks goes out to OVTA Board Member Albert Dale who is a principal landowner where the Battle at Cane Creek likely occurred.
On behalf of the research team, we are grateful for your interest in this project.
