the town of
Abingdon

VA
celebrated the Dedication of Retirement from
Private to Public Ownership, the Re-Certification of the Mustering Grounds and
the unveiling of the new Marker celebrating the 16 Virginians that were killed
or mortally wounded at the Battle of Kings Mountain, October 7, 1780

Alan
Bowen, President and representing OVTA, presents a $10,000.00 check to Mayor
Humphreys to help with the purchase of the Mustering Grounds. Mike Dahl oversees
the presentation
