We moved to the town of Bluff City where Paul Carson, National Park Service Superintendent of the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail, Certified a piece of the trail that runs right through the Bluff City Middle School property. The OVTA then told the Story of the Campaign to the Battle of Kings Mountain to 412 students.

412 Middle School students hear the story

Lt. Governor of Tennessee Ron Ramsey addresses the students at Bluff City Middle School. In his talk he reflected on the history of the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail and the effect it had on this Country.

The OVTA fires a volley in honor of the Town of Bluff City, Bluff City Middle School and the Patriots of the campaign and Battle of Kings Mountain

After our visit to Bluff City Middle School, Herman Carrier and the community of Bluff City fed the OVTA supper and then we had a story on our travels and the Campaign to Kings Mountain. Thanks to Herman and friends.
