A Different Name, A New Approach, Same Great Living History Experience!

Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park and the Washington Co. Regt. of NC Militia are pleased to invite you to the “Muster at Fort Watauga” on May 18th and 19th, 2024. Don’t let the name change fool you. It is still our goal to produce a quality living history event with everything you have come to enjoy from the “Siege” with even more! By changing the name, it opens the event up to a broader scope of interpretation allowing us to present all the events in our park’s story (the battle of Kings Mountain for example) rather than restricting us to one historic event. So, if it’s your very first time or if you are an old friend, we welcome you to join us for what promises to be a grand time on the frontier!
